Travel, site access, hillside
Distances within the state vary enormously, and we do not dress that up. Mannheim, Heidelberg and the Rhine-Neckar area are a normal drive from Hanau, Karlsruhe and the Stuttgart region a day trip with an early start. Upper Swabia, the Black Forest and Lake Constance mean travelling the evening before.
On site the day follows the shift plan and the site management, not our schedule. Safety briefing, PPE and site security are arranged in advance. Confidentiality is the norm here: a non-disclosure agreement, an agreed shot list, approval of the cut before publication. The English version included.

Let’s get goingOur client is a group with its head office abroad. Can we have the film in English too?
Yes, and not as an add-on afterwards. For practices working with exporters we build films bilingually from the beginning: the same cut, an English voice or subtitle track, English lower thirds. The difference from retrofitted translation is not only cost but timing. Copy written after the edit rarely fits the shot lengths.
Our project sits on a Stuttgart hillside, in the middle of a large site. Is that workable?
Yes, with lead time. Standing areas, crane movements and access routes are agreed with the site management before we travel. Aerials we check early, because in dense city areas not every flight is approved. On hillsides the opposite slope often gives a better image than a drone anyway.
Our design work sits behind walls and ceilings. How do you show that?
Through timing, not through the camera. The stripped-back condition, open risers, the installed service routing, the plant before it is boxed in: those images evidence your work, and they exist only for a few weeks. So we set two or three short dates across the build rather than one large shoot at the end.
What budget should we plan for?
A mid four-figure sum for a compact production at one location. A low five-figure one once several shooting dates, several locations or documentation across the construction period are involved. The bilingual version costs less than most assume, provided it is planned in from the start. We name the range in the first conversation.
